If we talk about the design, the exterior look is inspired by the traditional Jeep Wranglers. It features signature seven-slot closed grille headlamps. I found the interior to be both practical and premium. The infotainment setup and off-road controls looked very appealing to me. What I liked the most is the dual motor setup — the 4×4 is extremely useful for adventure lovers. As for the charging, since India doesn’t have a strong EV charging network yet, it’s not fully practical to go on electric adventures at the moment.

If we talk about the battery system, it comes with a large-capacity battery pack that aims to offer a real-world range of over 500 km. Thanks to DC fast charging support, you’ll be able to charge the battery to 100% in just 50 minutes. For home use, an AC wall charger will also be available.

Personally, I’d suggest that its battery range is more than sufficient for adventure and long route journeys. The Jeep Recon will first launch in the USA, where charging stations are widely available, so there’s no problem there. That makes this model a very practical choice, and it’s expected to launch soon.

Jeep Recon made its global debut by the end of 2024 (mostly in the USA first), and its India launch is expected around mid-2025. Jeep is targeting the Indian EV market and planning to assemble “Completely Knocked Down” (CKD) units locally in India.

Expected Launch Timeline:

• USA: Q4 2024
• India: July – September 2025
• Expected Price in India: ₹65–70 Lakhs (Ex-showroom)

If it launches in India around ₹70 lakh, that’s going to be considered a very high price here. Indian EV buyers may not prefer it because there are other cars with similar features available at lower prices. However, since it’s a full-fledged adventure car and an EV as well, people might still like it. And Jeep lovers are eagerly waiting for it to arrive in India.
